Medical Intensive Care Unit



The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is equipped to handle complex medical problems. Nurses who have had intensive training in the care of the critically ill staff the MICU. There is also a respiratory therapist assigned to the unit at all times.

The MICU is a 25-bed intensive care and cardiac care unit, providing for the competent care of patients with complex medical conditions. The nursing staff has had intensive training in this specialty field to provide the highest quality of care to those who are critically ill.

If you have questions concerning a family member in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, the nursing staff is available to you at all times. Our goal is to provide the highest level of care for outpatients while supporting his or her family and friends. Due to our patients’ condition and their need for rest, our visiting hours are designed to allow for the delivery of excellent care, as there are times when it is in the best interest of your loved ones to minimize or eliminate stimulation around them.

A family lounge is located just outside the unit for your comfort.
