Good Samaritan Hospital and the Suffolk County Department of Health present: ‘Learn to Be…Tobacco Free’ FREE Smoking Cessation Classes
July 8, 2014
The number one preventable cause of death in our country is tobacco use. It kills 430,000 smokers every year and another 60,000 die from exposure to second hand smoke. Quitting “cold turkey” on your own can be frustrating and disappointing, but there is help. Good Samaritan Hospital, in partnership with the Suffolk County Department of Health, is hosting a FREE “Learn to be Tobacco Free” program at the Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center, 32 Park Ave. in Bay Shore.
The six week class meets July 22, 29, August 5, 12, 19 and 26, from 6 pm - 7:30 pm and there is a class reunion on Tuesday, September 9. All smoking cessation programs are supervised by a nurse practitioner and participants will receive personalized follow-up. To register, call (631) 376-4444.
