Zaghi Accepts Position as Dedicated Mammographer
Michael Zaghi, MD, has accepted a position as mammographer at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center’s Women’s Imaging Center. Formerly a Breast Imager at Renaissance Imaging Medical Associates in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Zaghi will have a dedicated role at Good Samaritan.
Dr. Zaghi is proficient in Interventional Breast Imaging, including MR-guided biopsies, ultrasound guided biopsies, stereotactic biopsies and preoperative localization. His procedural skills in diagnostics include PET-CT and body/breast MRI as well as vascular and nonvascular ultrasound, as well as obstetrics and gynecological ultrasound. In addition, he is proficient in Neuro/body/chest and extremity CT.
He earned a BS from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MD from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. He served his internship in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, and a Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Zaghi’s Fellowship in Breast Imaging was at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds a medical license with New York State and California.
Dr. Zaghi was the 2010 American Roentgen Ray Society Introduction to Academic Radiology course scholarship awardee and he earned the SUNY Downstate Department of Radiology 2012 Residency Excellence Award.
