In addition to being a lover of nature, a photographer and a dedicated family man, Capitano is also a philanthropist and founded The Capitano Foundation in 1997. He and his wife, Marie, have been West Islip residents since 1960.
“After years of supporting children’s causes domestically and internationally, joining the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation board has given me an exciting opportunity to help children locally,” said Capitano. “I am looking forward to helping Good Samaritan rise to a new level of excellence.”
