Robert Carlin, MD, Named Chairman of Internal Medicine
West Islip resident Robert Carlin, MD, has been named Chairman of Internal Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. An internist and pulmonologist with a private practice in Babylon since 1991, Dr. Carlin has been associated with Good Samaritan for 25 years and has served in a variety of leadership positions at the hospital, including current roles as President of the Medical Board and Chairman of the Performance Improvement Committee. In addition, since 2014 he has served as medical director of Our Lady of Consolation Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, which like Good Samaritan is a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island.
Dr. Carlin is a graduate of St George's School of Medicine in Grenada. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Jersey City Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Nassau County Medical Center.
