Good Samaritan Names New Director of Volunteer Services

Susan Grimm was recently promoted to director of volunteer services for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. Previously, she was the coordinator of volunteers and grants. In her role as director of volunteer services, Grimm will have the added responsibilities including oversight of the hospital Gift Shop and continue to serve as Interim Co-Director of Pastoral Care.

Grimm earned a bachelor’s degree of science in finance from SUNY Old Westbury. She is an active member of Philanthropic Education Organization and United Methodist Women, St. Mark’s Methodist Church, in Rockville Centre.

Among her many accomplishments, she has streamlined the recruitment, training and placement of qualified volunteers throughout the hospital, and secured nearly $500,000 in grant funding over the past two years. Prior to joining Good Samaritan in 2007, Grimm was owner of Deliciously Different, a catering company in West Islip. She spent a number of years earlier in her career working in commercial real estate. She resides in Rockville Centre.
