Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Residents, Physicians Receive Achievement Awards
This year’s recipient of the Paul S. Nineteen newly minted physicians graduated in Good Samaritan’s 2014 residency program. They represented the fields of Pediatrics, Podiatry, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Catholic Health Services’ Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer Patrick M. O’Shaughnessy, DO, was keynote speaker at this year’s graduation ceremony. He congratulated the newest physicians, “stressing to remember the oath of medicine you took today by always putting the patient first.”
In addition, Attending of the Year awards were given to Howard Balbi, MD, pediatric infectious diseases, by pediatric residents; Amityville Pulmonology group by family medicine residents; Mark Pilliterri, DO, by obstetric residents and Vito Rizzo, DPM, by podiatry residents.
