Good Samaritan Hospital Employee Named Samaritan of the Month
Good Samaritan Hospital’s Samaritan of the Month for April was Ted Mangione.
Since joining Good Samaritan in 1985 he has been an invaluable employee who ran the Print Shop until its closing in October, 2013 when he began as the Baxter Pavilion’s concierge. Mangione immediately took ownership of this new position always making patients and visitors feel good about coming to the hospital by greeting them with a smile and respect. He resides in Lindenhurst.
Since 1999, Good Samaritan Hospital has recognized exemplary employees that consistently go above and beyond their assigned duties and live by the hospital mission to promote excellence in care and commit to those in need. Nominations are submitted for review to a committee from co-workers, supervisors and patients. Samaritans are surprised in their department with a bouquet of flowers. A Samaritan of the Month presentation is held at the hospital with their co-workers and family.
