Good Samaritan Hospital’s Pediatric Experts Educate the Community

August 22nd, 2014

On Saturday, August 16, Good Samaritan Hospital showcased its pediatric services with a Children’s Health Fair at Westfield South Shore Mall in Bay Shore. Families enjoyed a day of fun, games, giveaways and activities. While children had their faces painted and tried their luck at the carnival games, parents received information from health experts on topics such as pediatric sleep disorders, vaccinations, and dealing with picky eaters.

Good Samaritan ensures that children, from newborns to adolescents receive expert care close to home. Services include pediatric cardiology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, endocrinology, neurology, pulmonology, hematology, nephrology, treatment for sleep and breathing disorders, developmental care, and allergy and asthma treatment, sedation services and care for the medically complex child. The hospital also cares for special-needs children and has the most extensive perinatal and neonatal services―as the only New York State designated Level III NICU on Suffolk County’s south shore. Good Samaritan Hospital is dedicated to the availability of pediatric specialty care services for the community.
