Good Samaritan Celebrates Its Volunteers
May 21st, 2014
Good Samaritan Hospital Lindenhurst/North Babylon Guild’s member Ruth Johnson and Great South Bay Guild’s member Ingeburg Luttmann have collectively reached an amazing milestone, having contributed 20,000 and 35,123 hours respectively in volunteer work (pictured: L-R). The Guilds are groups of individuals who work diligently for the benefit of the medical center. These volunteers organize community activities, staff the hospital gift shop, hold annual fund- raising events and operate an offsite thrift shop to support Good Samaritan. In 2013, the Guilds raised more than $250,000, with more than 40,000 hours of service donated as well.
