Good Sam Announces New Foundation Board Member, Tom McAteer
Thomas J. McAteer Jr. has been named a member of the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees.
Currently serving as the Executive Vice President for Suffolk Transportation, McAteer is an accomplished leader with an impressive track record in health care, government and transportation. Previously, he served as Regional Market Head for Aetna, where he increased revenue from $250 million to an estimated $1.5 billion over a seven-year period. Prior to that, he was named CEO of Vytra Health Plans, one of the largest regional health plans on Long Island. He also served as Chairman of the Board for two health care network startup companies.
“I am excited to have an opportunity to help my community through the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation,” said McAteer. “There is nothing more personal and important than the provision of quality health care at the local level.
