CHS Appoints Chair of Women’s Health Initiatives

Catholic Health Services (CHS) has named Pankaj K. Singhal, MD, MS, MHCM, FACOG, system chairman of Obstetrics & Gynecology/women’s health initiatives for CHS and chief of gynecologic oncology for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. He brings extensive experience to this newly appointed role.

Before joining CHS, Singhal was the system director of gynecologic oncology at Catholic Health System in Buffalo, NY. At the same time, Singhal directed Western New York’s busiest gynecologic oncology physician practice, where he personally performed over 500 major surgeries a year. He was a clinical associate professor of pathology & anatomical sciences and clinical associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology for the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and the co-director for computer integrated surgical research laboratory of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at SUNY Buffalo.  Also, Singhal was the system chair of Robotic Surgical Services at Kaleida Health System and fellowship program director for minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at Kaleida Health-University at Buffalo.
Singhal earned his medical degree from the Madras Medical College in India, his master from the School of Medicine, Wright State University, and a master in health care management from Harvard University.  He is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology, a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Society of Gynecologic Oncology, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy and Buffalo Obstetrics and Gynecology Society.

Dr. Singhal resides in Bay Shore, NY with his wife, Erin, and two children, Emma and Jade.
