Curriculum

It is the policy of this fellowship to teach through hands on experience in a department under the supervision of trained mentors with additional experience coming from selected rotations pertinent to women’s health. Clinical, didactic, and academic endeavors of this fellowship have been developed to provide the necessary training to produce exceptional surgeons.

Block Schedules

Year 1: PGY 5:
•    Gynecologic Oncology – 8 months
•    Research – 3 months
•    General / Colorectal Surgery – 1 month
Year 2: PGY 6:
•    Gynecologic Oncology – 5 months
•    Research – 5 months
•    General / Colorectal Surgery – 1 month
•    Pathology – 1 month
Year 3: PGY 7:
•    Gynecologic Oncology – 6 months
•    Research – 4 months
•    General / Colorectal Surgery – 1 month
•    Radiation/Oncology – 1 month


Affiliated Sites
Fellows are permitted to accompany teaching faculty to affiliated CHS institutions on a case by case basis provided that the appropriate documentation has been provided in advance to each institution:
