Clinical Curriculum

Mercy Medical Center’s clinical rotations provide a comprehensive breadth of exposure to PM&R through inpatient and outpatient experiences. Upon completion of the residency, residents will be expected to have completed a total of 36 months of training approximately 15 months of outpatient, 12 months of inpatient, 5 months of consults, 2 months of pediatric, and 2 months of elective.      
          

Inpatient Rotations:

  • 9 months General Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation
  • 1 month Traumatic Brain Injury at Burke Rehabilitation
  • 1 month Spinal Cord Injury at Burke Rehabilitation
  • 1 month Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation at Burke Rehabilitation

Outpatient Rotations:

  • 6-7 months OMT/General PM&R/Prosthetics and Orthotics, MDA Clinic
  • 6-7 months of Pain Management/ Interventional Spine/General PM&R Clinic
  • 1-2 months MSK/Sports Medicine
  • 1-2 months Adult Neurology/Electrodiagnostic Medicine   

Additional Rotations:

  • 5 months of Consults
  • 2 months of Pediatric Rehabilitation
  • 2 months of Electives
