Since 2002, she has been a Lead Electroneurodiagnostic technician (EEG) trained in the use of an electroencephalograph, a noninvasive device that can measure brain activity and analyze the nervous system for diagnostic purposes for those who have injuries or brain disorders. Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, in conjunction with Good Shepherd Hospice, will host lecture, Bridge to Hope: Hospice for the Grieving Heart this Valentine’s Day on Thursday, February 6, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in the hospital’s Patio Café. The workshop is free but registration is required due to limited seating.

In the nine months since Good Samaritan Hospital surgeon Jonathan Klonsky, MD, successfully performed gastric bypass surgery on 25-year-old Elyse Capozza, she has lost 151 pounds, works in her field of teaching and is an inspiration to others wanting to get healthier. Today she is a determined and disciplined 26-year-old woman with endless opportunities.

a cappella gospel group, The Shepherd’s Singers, will perform. Join members of the community and Good Samaritan staff in the the hospital’s St. Vincent de Paul Chapel for a 30-minute service.
