Good Samaritan Hosts Golf Classic to Benefit Cardiology Services


Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center recently held its 17th annual Golf Classic at Southward Ho Country Club in Bay Shore. The event raised more than $175,000 to benefit The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation to purchase cardiac monitoring equipment. Fred Johs, Partner, Lewis Johs Avallone Aviles, LLP, and Larry Altschul, MD, Chair of Cardiology at Good Samaritan Hospital, were the honorees of this year’s event.

For the 17th consecutive year, Astoria Federal Savings was the Classic sponsor. Other major sponsors included Bartlett, McDonough, Bastone & Monaghan, LLP, Hunter EMS Ambulance, Axis Construction, E.W. Howell Co., Inc., Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Staff and Lewis, Johs, Avallone, Aviles, LLP.
