Good Samaritan Hospital Receives $15,000 Donation to Benefit Cancer Services

Members from the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition were pretty in pink at the Good Samaritan Hospital Night at the Races as they presented a check to the hospital’s Chief Administrative Officer Nancy Simmons for $15,000. Since 1992, the coalition and Good Samaritan Hospital have worked together supporting breast health in the community. In 1997, Good Samaritan opened a Breast Health Center as an initiative to enhance the early detection and required treatment of breast disease. Good Samaritan is accredited by the American College of Radiology, has three-year/full accreditation designation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and has accreditation with commendation from the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer.
